Good design and proper integration
Much attention is paid to the integrated design process of buildings and their services. The emphasis of this process lies on optimizing the interior environment of a building while retaining the architectural quality.
The realization of such a solid living or working environment demands a good design and a proper integration of various services in buildings. Consequently, it is in an early stage of the design process of a building that consultation must take place between the architect, the structural engineer, and the installation technologist. Examples of services in buildings include systems for hospitals, laboratories, and manufacturing processes, as well as smart homes and domotics.
NVAO accreditation
As from September 1st 2012, this special Master track is formally a track of the Master program Architecture, Building and Planning. The Master program Architecture, Builing and Planning is accredited by NVAO (Nederlands-Vlaamse Accreditatieorganisatie), the Accreditation Organization of the Netherlands and Flanders.
