The special Master program in Information Security Technology takes two years and consists of 120 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) points. These study points are subdivided as follows:

• six compulsory courses (36 ECTS) in which you develop basic skills
• three elective courses (18 ECTS) which you can select from a list of elective courses in security offered by the Kerckhoffs Institute
• 36 ECTS for the other courses, which consist of both elective courses and courses that are compulsory at the three specific universities
• your thesis project (30 ECTS)

In your elective field, you can also, if you wish, do an internship worth a maximum of 15 ECTS. During the program, you place the emphasis either on the computer science or the mathematics aspects. This means that your thesis specialization is in one of these two fields.
