The Master's degree program Sustainable Energy Technology trains engineers who are able to anticipate the change processes in the energy market. Social demand for sustainable energy supplies is growing. The generation and use of energy are becoming more efficient and clean all the time. One factor of change is the increasing use of renewable energy sources such as biomass. The energy market is also changing as a result of internationalization and liberalization.

The departments Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Chemistry, Applied Physics, Architecture, Building and Planning and Industrial Engineering & Innovation Sciences cooperate in this Master's degree program. Engineers from this Master's degree program therefore will be highly familiar with the latest developments in sustainable energy technology, and will have a good understanding of the opportunities and limitations involved in its application.
