Contract Research

Contract research refers to dedicated research. TU/e offers many options for cooperation of this nature. One of the features of contract research is that we make agreements about the exclusive use of the private property of the results.

How the research is conducted depends on the complexity and size of the request and the nature of the research question. We use various methods to create a match between the research question and the TU/e researchers selected to work on it.

Small and Medium-sized Enterprises
The Dutch economy needs small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) to innovate. However, it can be difficult for SMEs to approach large knowledge institutions. The Ministry of Economic Affairs encourages SMEs to innovate by issuing innovation vouchers, which can be used at TU/e and elsewhere to buy research. You will find everything there is to know about vouchers, as well as how to apply for them, on the United Brains website. United Brains is the gateway to innovation vouchers.

Getting started
Would you like to know more about contract research? If so, please contact the TU/e Innovation Lab. Within our university, the TU/e Innovation Lab is responsible for facilitating valorization, innovation and the commercialization of knowledge. Our corporate account manager has a good overview of the research expertise present at our university. Your research question will be coupled quickly to the most relevant research groups and individuals. A joint exploration often reveals several relevant disciplines and forms of cooperation. You can take advantage of this.
