About
This workshop aims at bringing scientists from different fields together, studying the transition from micro to macro scales of particle system and interacting agents. More specifically we aim at a selective group of top researchers with a broad variety of backgrounds, both in theory and experiment, to investigate different perspectives to the problems and the connections between those.
The format will be quite unusual in that the focus lies on open problems rather than achieved results. We feel that the best setting for this is informal with a small number of participants to facilitate discussion, collaboration and active participation.
In order to spark live discussions, we ask the speakers to share their presentation slides with the participants one week in advance, so that we can appoint one participant for each talk to study the problem and prepare first comments. Naturally, your slides will be handled discretely, and distributed among the participants of this workshop only.
