Biography
Michiel Renger received his master in Applied Mathematics at the TU Delft, specialising in foundations and philosophy of mathematics. He has previously worked on modelling techniques at the Systems Engineering section in Delft. Currently he is doing his PhD in foundations of thermodynamics with Mark Peletier. His research interests include Variational Methods for PDE's, Gamma Convergence, Hydrodynamic Limits and Large Deviation Principles for Stochastic Particle Systems.
