Nuclear energy: fission and fusion
A new series of EnergyDays will be held during the 2011-2012 academic year, each one focusing on a specific aspect of the present energy and climate discussion. Each day several experts will introduce and discuss in depth the subject of the day. It is the intention to explain in detail the various aspects, facts and the different views on the matter at hand.
The days are organized mainly for students (PhD, MSc or BSc) in all disciplines, in particular for those not directly connected to energy research. The lectures will be given in English. Each lecture will be 45 minutes followed by a 15 minute discussion. Each day 5-6 experts will outline backgrounds, uncertainties and possibilities concerning the subject at hand. Different views will be set side by side with underlying evidence to permit the students to develop their own vision on the subject.
Participants
Students (PhD, MSc or BSc) and others who wish to participate are requested to register online (universities/companies). Admission will be granted on first come, first serve basis. Registration will be complete when the 15 € participation fee has been paid in full and in advance.
