Complex Molecular Systems is an additional interdisciplinary program for selected master students, aiming at a career in research. We focus on topics related to the engineering of functional molecular systems, using state-of-the-art modeling and experimental techniques. Applications are in the area of sustainability, energy efficiency, soft biomaterials and functional materials. A strong disciplinary foundation is complemented with the ability and knowledge to work in interdisciplinary research teams.
The Institute for Complex Molecular Systems is an interdisciplinary platform for research and education at the highest level. We invite talented top students with a background in one of the natural or engineering sciences and the ambition to pursue a career in research to join the new Graduate Program Complex Molecular Systems. We offer both MSc and PhD students a challenging interdisciplinary program combined with a strong focused background in one of our departments.
A Graduate Program is a coherent program for Master and PhD education aiming at training talented students with interest in a career in science. The Complex Molecular Systems Graduate Program is built on the strengths of ICMS and offers an interdisciplinary training with special attention for developing scientific skills. MSc and PhD students are part of the highly recognized research groups of ICMS staff members, which will reinforce their training as independent scientists.
The Institute for Complex Molecular Systems (ICMS) has received a Grant of 800.000 euro from the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) to start a Complex Molecular Systems Graduate Program.
