Sustainable Energy and Resources: Challenges for Multiphase Reactor Technology
Sustaining our supplies of energy and resources is one of the most prominent problems/challenges that mankind faces today. Multiphase reactors (a.o. fluidized beds and spray dryers) are applied in many processes for large-scale production of energy carriers and resources because of the special features and possibilities for process integration and process intensification of these reactors. During this SuperTU/esday the state of the art in the field of multiphase reactor technology will be presented by several plenary speakers, from both inside and outside the Eindhoven University of Technology. The speakers will specifically discuss scientific challenges for multiphase reactor technology, with the focus on the technical realization (scale-up) and development of efficient and clean processes for the large scale production of energy carriers and resources. Moreover, important trends and multi-disciplinary developments will be discussed.
