In collaboration with researchers from the TU Kaiserslautern and the MPI in Stuttgart, a big step forward has been made in understanding the process of the laser-induced manipulation of ferromagnets. The Article " Explaining the paradoxical diversity of ultrafast laser-induced demagnetization" by Koopmans, Malinowski, Dalla Longa et al. will be published Nature Materials, and is accessible on-line as of today.
