The Eindhoven region positions itself as ‘Brainport Eindhoven’. It is the high-tech industrial heart of the Netherlands and main seat of companies like Philips, ASML, Océ, DAF Trucks and DSM. Close to 50% of the Dutch R&D efforts take place in our region. But Eindhoven offers more. This lively city has all the facilities that you could wish for. Eindhoven has extensive shopping, great sidewalk cafés and a lively night life. Lovers of culture can also find a lot to do; there are plenty of places to catch a concert or a theatre performance. There are also many museums in and around Eindhoven. Eindhoven has an international elementary and high school for which an extra tuition fee must be paid. A good level of regular Dutch elementary and high-school education is available for no extra tuition fee. Eindhoven also has its own international airport and is within easy reach by car and train. World cities like Amsterdam, Köln, Paris and London are not only easily accessible, but also within a few hours drive.
