"When asked: ‘what would you like to be when you’re older?’, process technologist is not a very common answer. But it’s my answer. I’ve always taken an interest in the industrial life. Not so much petro-chemical industry, but more likely the area of food. I’m quite the sporty person, fond of cycling and therefore interested in good nourishment. The process of developing good and safe food is very interesting. I grew up in a village with a big garden, loads of plants and a vegetable garden. This triggered my interest for food. It’s nice to link this interest to the professional process, which is puzzling with the optimization-processes in the current food industry.”
