Trainees 2017

Pranav Bhatnagar received his Bachelor honours degree in Web and Multimedia from University of Roehampton, London in 2011. In 2016, he received his Master degree in Bioinformatics from the University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh. The thesis was titled "Visualisation tool for Motif" and involved developing algorithms to discover different biological values in genome. After graduation in 2011, Pranav started working as a freelancer and part-time Data center engineer, where he worked for Discovery channel, Barclays bank, G4S security. After one year he joined a London based startup named “DisciplineXgames” as a project manager. He had responsibilities of working with partners like GoogleFit, developing, outsourcing, hiring people and pitching presentations to investors. Out of his love for traveling and his home country India, he also developed a website to promote tourism in India, named The Magical India (http://www.themagicalindia.com/). In future he would like to be a project manager with strong hold on Software Architecture.

Giovanni de Almeida Calheiros received his Bachelor's in Information Technology in 2005 from Federal Institute of Alagoas and his Master's in Computer Science from Federal University of Campina Grande (Brazil). During his master he worked as a researcher in a project to develop a distributed and scalable system on the Internet to be used on Smart TVs for brands such as AOC and Philips. After that, he worked as a software engineer for UL in the Digital Security team.

Ganduulga Gankhuyag received both his BSc and MSc degree in Electronics Engineering from the Department of Electronics and Information Engineering of Chonbuk National University, Jeonju city, South Korea in 2012 and 2015, respectively. His master thesis concerned an idea that heading and position accuracy of navigation system can be enhanced using various Kalman filters integrating Global Positioning System and Inertial Navigation System. After his graduation, he did his internship at Daewoo Electronic Components Co.,Ltd and worked as Hardware and Software R&D engineer at Ametros Solutions LLC. He is interested in topics related to Embedded system, Internet of things, Artificial Intelligence and Software architecture.

Konstantinos Karmas received his 5-year diploma from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece) in 2016. His specialization was in Electronics and Computer Engineering and during his studies, he focused on embedded systems. His final thesis was titled "Designing an Autonomous Unmanned Underwater Vehicle with self-navigating capabilities", which also included the implementation of a working demo. His fields of interest include Embedded Systems and Machine Learning. He also enjoys watching and performing in theatrical plays.

Gilda Khosravi received her bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from Alzahra University(Iran)  in 2009. Upon graduation she joined a local company as a full time Software Engineer, producing modules of HR for a ERP system till 2015. Meanwhile she studied her Master’s on Software Engineering in Shahid Beheshti University(Iran) from 2011 till 2013. Her main research and studies during Master’s was in the areas of Image Processing. After 2015 she worked as a Senior Software Engineer for about 10 months in another local company and then 2 years in a Payment Service Provider(Banking) Company, analyzing and implementing applications of ETF-POS devices. She is interested in software architecture and project management.

Arne Laponin received his bachelor's degree in Informatics from Tallinn University of Technology (Estonia). During his final year he worked as a Java developer at a software development company Nortal. In 2017 he graduated with a Master of Science in Software Engineering from the University of Tartu. He did his master's thesis entitled "Propagating Changes between Declarative and Procedural Process Models" at the Fondazione Bruno Kessler (Trento, Italy) as part of the Erasmus+ traineeship. He is interested in applying his knowledge and solving complex problems in the healthcare industry.
 

Dung Le received his Engineering Degree of Information Technology from Ha Noi University of Technology in 2008. He worked several years as a Software Engineer in Viet Nam before moving to Thailand and Germany to study in a Master's Program of Software System Engineering. He loves to write clean code and wants to create useful software. In his free time, he likes to do sport or learn something new such as photography or Dutch.

Trupti Manik did her Bachelors of Engineering in Information Technology from SVMIT Gujarat in 2009. She did her Masters of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering from PIET from Gujarat Technological University. Her masters research was on load balancing in Cloud Computing. She worked as Assistant professor in Engineering Colleges for Government of Gujarat for six years. During which she guided seven Masters of Engineering students for their thesis project. She also published research papers during this duration. Her area of interests are Security and cloud computing.

Ani Megerdoumian received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. Degrees in computer software engineering from the Alzahra University in 2009 and Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) in 2012 respectively. Her final thesis project was titled "Evaluation of Machine Translation Systems Architecture to Improve Hybrid Architecture". After her graduation, she started to work in one of the largest national corporations for services of the banks and financial institutions of Iran for more than five years. She worked in the Internet Banking department as a web developer (basically J2EE), analyst, designer, and configuration manager. She has been a lecturer at the Sharif University of Technology for four years. Her interests orbit around software architecture, intelligent systems, and data mining.

Munkhdalai Sainbileg received his bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from Mongolian University of Science and Technology in 2009.  Upon graduation, he worked at IT center of Mongolian Customs as a software developer for four years and half . While working for his working years, he also gained experience with Web application systems and web services technology. After that, He worked as a software engineering for Mobicom Corporation. Worked there for 3 years and he was involved with the development of different type of projects such as Sales Management Web Application, SPOS(self-serving machines that provide telecom services) machine and API. Worked mostly with Java (J2EE, JSF) and PHP(Symfony). He has a passion for elegant code and he is interested in software architect.

Dimas Satria received his double degree bachelor of engineering in electrical engineering from Diponegoro University, Indonesia, and Fontys University of Applied Sciences, The Netherlands in 2011. After his graduation, he worked for four years in The Netherlands as a software engineer in Grass Valley, Bosch Security Systems, and ASML. He received his master’s degree in Computer Science from Korea University in August 2017. During his master studies, he was a reviewer in KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Systems journal and IEEE Wireless Communications Magazine. His master thesis was “Data Packet with Priority Arrangement in LTE – Licensed Assisted Access”. He is interested in Embedded Systems, Cloud Computing, and Internet of Things.

Konstantinos Smanis received his Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Patras, Greece, in 2016. During his five-year studies he took interest in the fields of Software Engineering, Embedded Systems, and Artificial Intelligence. His diploma thesis was in the area of Game Theory and involved the design and implementation of an Android application for the game of Quantum Tic-Tac-Toe. In 2017 he was certified by Google as an Associate Android Developer. He is also an avid Linux user with various contributions to the open-source community.

Hongyu Tan received her Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Information Engineering from Shanghai Normal University in 2015. After her graduation, she joined EIT Digital master program and received her double degree master of science in Embedded Systems from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden, and Eindhoven University of Technology, Netherlands in 2017. Her master thesis entitled “Credential Sharing based on Hotspot 2.0 Release 2 Specification” was carried out with Irdeto (Eindhoven). A risk management system which combines several approaches, such as token-based authentication and device fingerprinting, was proposed to detect the certificate-based credential sharing and alleviate the problem in HS2.2 environment. She is interested in Internet of Things and software architecture.

Beza Tassew graduated from Haramaya University(Ethiopia) in 2011 with a BSc. in Electrical Engineering. Since then, she has been working as a developer for more than 5 years in various companies. Also while working she studied for a master’s degree in computer science at HiLCoE School of Computer Science and Technology(Ethiopia) and graduated in 2017. She has always loved programming and she is interested in smart technologies. Her goal in joining this program is to become a software architect especially in the field of embedded systems.

Wahyu Utomo received his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Indonesia, in 2014. Later, he continued his study in Embedded System master’s program in Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). He did his master’s thesis in IMEC-NL, which is one of the research companies located in the High Tech Campus (HTC) area Eindhoven. His thesis project was to design and implement an initiator election algorithm for a state-of-the-art communication protocol for wireless sensor network.
