Admissions and enrollment

Time to enroll. How to proceed

To apply for this master's degree program at the TU/e, you need to have the required level of prior education.

With a relevant BSc degree obtained at TU/e or another Dutch university:
you are eligible for admission if you have a BSc degree in computer science or electrical engineering. If you are a graduate of a different (but relevant) BSc program, you can visit doorstroommatrix.nl to check your eligibility for admission to the ES master at TU/e.

International students with a relevant BSc degree:
you are expected to be proficient in mathematics, computer architecture and programming. You are also expected to have a solid foundation in at least three of the following six subjects: Data Structure and Algorithms, Software Development, Signal Processing, Operating Systems, Digital Systems and Circuits, Systems and Control.

In all cases, the admissions committee determines whether your (academic) experience and motivation suffice.

Following a pre-master program may be necessary to enter the ES program. Pre-master programs help close the gap between the entry requirements of the program and a Dutch bachelor's degree or diploma from a university of applied sciences (HBO). A pre-master program consists of 30 ECTS.
