"For my PhD project, I’m working on more e cient superconducting single photon detectors. I’m building demo detectors and I am describing their behavior through theoretical models. This project brings us one step closer to fast and secure quantum computation and communication. At TU/e, the cutting-edge laboratories and clean room caught my attention as soon as I entered the campus. They are the foundations of challenging research and keep you connected to the high-tech world. I enjoy the international and collaborative environment, the high-quality research and the connection with other universities and Dutch high-tech companies. These collaborations really help prepare you for both a career in academia and in industry. The city of Eindhoven o ers activities for every taste, and also plenty of quiet spots such as the parks and the TU/e library."
