We’re learning to model patients, so we can predict the course of their disease and help medical personnel choose the most effective treatments. I only recently started the program, and one of my first courses is about the mechanics of blood flow in the blood vessels. It’s quite theoretical and mechanical, doing calculations and making computer models. This course is good practice and good repetition. I’m looking forward to apply this in a project later in the master’s program.

I visited many universities, but TU/e just had the right atmosphere. It’s easy to get in touch with people and the master’s program is very challenging. I’m not sure yet what I want to do after graduation. I do like research, but there are also a lot of interesting companies around, both in industry and consultancy.
