If you want to choose the Applied Physics Bachelor’s program, it is very important that you possess the right qualities and interests. Are you naturally curious and do you always want to figure out ‘how and why’? Do you like to be challenged by mathematical problems, and are you good at abstracting? Then you are a suitable candidate to follow the Bachelor’s program of Applied Physics.
Because we consider it very important that students pick the right program, we organize a number of information activities, such as the Information Days and the Orientation Days. During these days, you can get a good impression about the program, and decide whether it is the right study for you or not.
The Information Days provide an ideal opportunity for potential students to get a quick impression of different programs, or to find out in more detail about specific programs you are interested in. The day starts with a general presentation about studying at TU/e. This is followed by short presentations by specific programs. Subsequently, you can choose to visit presentations about other programs, but you can also take a guided tour, and pay a visit to the department of your choice. During these days, there are plenty of opportunities to talk to students, staff and graduates.
Are you in the fifth or sixth year of your vwo (pre-university education), did you already visit an Information Day and would you like to find out what it's like to be a student for a day? Then come to one of the Orientation Days. During such a day, you will attend lectures and instructions, visit labs and other practical lecture rooms and find your way around the campus of Eindhoven University of Technology. This will provide you with a good impression about what a day of an Applied Physics student looks like.
