This study offers a really wide variety of subjects that, together, form a unique combination: technology and psychology.

Jorine de Koning, student

In my first year I was very well supervised by several coaches and mentors that helped me find my way.

For me, the Psychology & Technology study program had just that bit more than other studies; it offers a really wide variety of subjects that, together, form a unique combination; technology and psychology. Eindhoven is the perfect city to do a technology program and TU/e was the only university where I could do such a course.

My experiences here at the university in general have been great. In my first year I was very well supervised by several coaches and mentors that helped me find my way. At the start it was a question of gritting my teeth with basic subjects like Calculus and Physics, but after that I increasingly had subjects that were more specific to my study. The lectures, English and the new approach at university take a bit of getting used to but I acclimatized really quickly.

Within Psychology & Technology I opted for the Built Environment technology focus because that is where my interest lies.
As for the electives in my first year, I chose Sustainable Innovation subjects. By supplementing a number of subjects to another subject, you expand your knowledge, which is both useful and applicable to other subjects.

Apart from my study, I regularly attend parties, get-togethers and other activities at the Intermate study association where I have a seat on two committees. I also try to do sport on a regular basis and make music as part of my daily routine.

Finally, one more tip for your study choice: come to the open days and enroll for an orientation day. That way you get to feel the atmosphere at and around the university. This could be the deal-breaker in your choice of study.
