J.F. Schouten School for user-System Interaction Research
Research at the HTI group is conducted within the J.F. Schouten School for User-System Interaction Research. Its specific domain is the field of user-system interaction. Research on user system interaction can be focused on people (from a social, perceptual, or cognitive psychological perspective) in a specific technical environment, but also on the technical environment itself. The major goal is to investigate how users interact with technological systems, like specific technical products (e.g., an mp3 player), a service (e.g., a banking system), but also lighting systems in an office building.
Main research themes of the J.F. Schouten School for User-System Interaction Research are 'Communication, Choice and Control', 'Virtual and Augmented Environments' and 'User Interface Engineering & Design Methodology'.
