MSc. Mark Nievelstein, alumnus

During his internship at DAF, Mark Nievelstein was offered a job. "The theme in my graduation research was power shifts: changing gears without declutching. The content of my current job is also in line with my graduation research."

His choice to follow the graduation option Automotive Engineering Science was not fixed beforehand. "I wanted to work with transmission drives – the basis for any piece of equipment. At TU/e I automatically ended up in transmission in vehicles," he explains. Nievelstein advises people to think carefully about their Master track. "Your first job is usually connected to your graduation subject. Choose something you can work on and talk about enthusiastically."
