A very decent educational program with lots of opportunities

The huge variety in choice offers a program that fits everybody

After finishing my bachelor’s program Industrial Engineering & Management in Groningen, I decided to move to Eindhoven for my master’s. The reviews about Operations Management & Logistics (OML) were really good: the opportunity to go abroad, different tracks and elective courses. A very decent educational program with lots of opportunities in my opinion.

The compulsory courses give a solid basis. Next to that you can choose several elective courses ranging from Design of Operational Planning and Control Systems to Team and Team Performance. The huge variety in choice offers a program that fits everybody.

One aspect I like to point out is that the assignments are often coupled with business. In teams you work on real problems and practical case studies. This really increases your skills and knowledge.

Eindhoven was a complete new city for me, which meant that I needed to start from scratch. I decided to go play tennis, golf and cycling. Golf became like an addiction to me, what a wonderful sport. Right now I am the chairman of the student golf association ESGV de Club. Next to that I also sing in a choir. Eindhoven offers lots of opportunities to do whatever you want. Also the student life offers a lot: many sports, study and student assocations and nice bars in the city center. The university has good facilities to enable an optimal study environment. Together with the study associations a lively environment is created.

My tip for choosing a master’s program: ask yourself the question ‘What do I really want and is important to me, in terms of study?’. When that is clear to you, you can make a better choice. For me Eindhoven offers good education in a pleasant atmosphere.
