TheEindhoven region, also known as Brainport, is the technological heart of the Netherlands. It is an area where a high concentration of the high tech industry is located. The companies are all known for their innovative drive and technological knowledge. There are businesses engaged in robotics, electromechanical equipment and control systems, guided transport systems, embedded systems and so on. TU/e works closely with many large and smaller high-tech companies. You are likely to come into contact with one of the region's high-tech companies during your studies, for instance via an internship, a project or guest lecturer.
