TU/e innovation Space provides students with possibility to work on prototypes with support of experienced staff in dedicated workshop rooms.
Student Clean workshop
In the Student Clean workshop students can work in a clean environment on various non-dusty processes involved in manufacturing and production.
Student mechanical workshop
The workshop for students to build mechanical prototypes using different type of materials and machines.
Student modelling workshop
The workshop where students can shape and model their prototypes and give it the finishing touch.
3 D printing facilities
The 3D printing facilities of TU/e innovation Space in Matrix can give life to your 3D model by printing it to create a prototype or even a final product. We have various printing technologies and materials available that can help you turn your idea into a realistic 3D proof of concept.
Mechanical Workshop Momentum
Provides facilities for automotive teams and other student teams, to manufacture components or modify parts.
Assembly and learning areas
On the first floor in Matrix there are two different assembly areas for prototyping and several lecture rooms used also for CBL courses.
Space that is open for all students to support more advanced prototyping activities that make use of various types of specialized equipment.
This is the open assembly space. Here you can build your 'proof of concept' with basic tools when there is no education. The service desk can provide you with tools and assistance every weekday from 8:00h until 18:00h. 3D printing is also possible via the service desk assistants.
Education of innovation Space mostly takes place in the Light Assembly area (1.260). There are however other rooms in Matrix used for lectures.
Working and meeting spaces
In Matrix, students can also find areas where to have a creative brainstorming session, an inspiring meeting or a cup of coffee with peers.
A flex office space where the community of innovation Space can work.
This is the place where the kitchen and the long table are. Here you may use the kitchen utilities, the dishwasher (put dirty dishes in, put it on and empty it), and the fridge which is next to the coffee machine (right one is for innoSpace members). You also may use the microwave but please clean it after using it.
Event and chill area
Both open areas are located next to the pantry area. The event area is primarily used as a workplace and/or a place for events, visits and tours. The chill area (in the corner behind the coffee machines) is primarily an innovation Space community area.
There are two paddocks on the first floor which are assigned to teams.
The solidarity room is accessible with campus card to all innovation Space student team members and innovation Space staff. You can reserve this room by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. The room is equipped with 2 screens and a Logitech videoconferencing system to have online or hybrid meetings.
Everyone can book meeting rooms, but only (max.) 7 days ahead, via Outlook or BookMySpace. If you want to plan a meeting (or a series of meetings) further ahead, please contact email@example.com.
