In TU/e innovation Space, we host exciting interdisciplinary courses and projects that (can) have a societal impact. Courses offered at innovation Space help companies and researchers to solve real-world challenges and allow you to unleash your talents to build innovative solutions.

TU/e innovation Space hosts bachelor and master courses that fit the vision of TU/e innovation Space. Besides this, we also offer a unique chance for students to join innovation Space BEP (ISBEP), where you work with students from other departments and on real world challenges.

If you want to learn in an innovative way, take up a challenge and realize a prototype, follow one of the courses or projects in TU/e innovation Space and become part of our vibrant community!

Challenge-Based Learning

In addition to more theoretical education, TU/e offers Challenge-Based Learning (CBL). At TU/e innovation Space, CBL has the following characteristics:

  • ‘Hands-on learning by doing’: by making prototypes, you immediately test your idea into practice, gaining additional insights.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude: dealing with uncertainty, overcoming obstacles, feeling responsible.
  • Interdisciplinary: work with students from different departments.
  • Design thinking: creative thinking/ problem solving.
  • Real-world challenges: working on existing open-ended problems.

Flagship courses

In our flagship courses, you can decide which challenge presented by companies or societal organizations you want to work on. While doing so, you will have the opportunity to challenge yourself with a real-life project, gain experience in teamwork, join an interdisciplinary team of students, work closely with professionals, and use the extensive prototyping facilities of TU/e innovation Space.
