"Shell focuses on natural gas and renewable energy to meet the energy needs of a growing population. Not all natural gas has the same composition: some types need to be processed before transport, as heavy hydrocarbons can damage the system. The novel process I’m working on could do so with a big reduction in CO2. I learned so much during this project – thinking outside the box and working with specialists from different fields and disciplines.
I love the way the EngD program is structured, with lecturers from research and from industry. The student body is very diverse, and we share a lot with each other. TU/e has really given me the edge I need to excel in process engineering, and I’d like to work in this field for at least the next 10 years. "
