Wouldn’t it be great if your self-driving car could pick you up after class? By linking a car with a smartphone, you create new possibilities such as responding to pedestrians, visualizing situations and smart planning. My project is part of a broad European project with 46 partners from many countries. Almost all of them are software engineers working at big companies, but there is a lot of room for creativity and Honors Academy students really get treated like equals.
Personal development is important within Honors Academy. I discuss mine with my coach every other week. My programming skills have gotten much better! I’m also working on visual design skills for presentations and on organizational skills. My main takeaway so far is that testing your ideas is very important, but always takes longer than you think.
