The production of microspheres is essential for slow-release medicines, medical devices - e.g. for embolization - and cosmetic applications such as dermal fillers. The traditional production method is a labor-intensive, long-term and complex process, which also wastes up to 70% of the raw materials. With Emultech's Microfluidic Emulsification Technology, this is a thing of the past. In 100 microchannels very consistent droplets are produced in a fully controlled and reliable manner. For the first time this makes it possible to produce microspheres on a large scale - whether or not in combination with an active substance - in a consistent, fast and very cost efficient way.
