• Am I currently allowed to travel abroad for work or study?

  Many destionations outside of the EU have turned green or yellow according to the government's travel recommendations. This makes many more service and study trips possible. When applying for a travel permit, you should still pay close attention to possible entry restrictions in the destination country in addition to the applicable travel recommendation wijsopreis.nl. Travel permits to green and yellow areas are handled via the regular route; for travel permits to orange areas, you need the permission of your director or dean.

• Can I take online courses (virtual mobility) only at a university abroad (within and outside Europe)?

  TU/e does not recognize a complete online exchange as a replacement of the physical form of international experience. If you have to follow (some) online courses during your exchange period abroad in one of the countries that are allowed again, you must inform your departmental internationalization coordinator. Please note there are no grants or scholarships available for a complete virtual/online mobility (exchange or internship/graduation project) when staying in The Netherlands.

• I can't come to the campus to take an exam. What should I do?

  If you have COVID-19 symptoms but your test (PCR or self-test) result is negative, you may come to campus.
  
  In case you are ill, have tested positive on COVID-19 or if you have COVID-19 symptoms and you don’t have a negative test result yet, you can make use of the regular sick-reporting-procedure. In that case you have to inform your academic advisor immediately. You will first be referred to the regular re-sit. Should you fail to pass the exam and no re-sit attempt is left, you have the possibility to apply at your Examination Committee for a second attempt but only if you would face study...

• I'm experiencing a study delay due to the corona crisis. Is there any financial compensation?

  Because of the corona crisis, there are a number of financial regulations in place to help students. For DUO's regulations, visit the DUO website.

  If you have a study delay due to illness If you have had the coronavirus and are therefore at least one month behind with your studies, you are entitled to the Student Financial Support. • Is attendance at the first attempt final bachelor's degree test mandatory?

  Attendance of the 1st take of a final test of bachelor courses is temporarily not compulsory for participation in the re-sit during the academic year 2022/2023. If you haven’t passed the final test, your departmental CSA will register you automatically for the 1st subsequent re-sit of the final test.

• What are the conditions for courses (exchange), internships and (graduate) research projects abroad?

  As of the academic year 2022/2023 you may again go abroad for courses, internships and (thesis) research projects. However, there are still conditions. Travel to countries with the color code red is not allowed. Travel to countries with the color code green, yellow and in some cases orange is allowed. • What happens to the BSA (dutch: bindend studie advies)?

  For the academic year 2022/2023, the normal regulations apply for now. Hence, no adjustments have been made to regulations regarding bsa due to the coronavirus.
