Professor Ton Backx appointed Knight in the Order of the Netherlands Lion

He received the award yesterday when he retired as professor at TU/e.

Backx has been affiliated with TU/e since the 90s, as a professor and later also as dean. Under his leadership, the Electrical Engineering department grew to be the largest in the Netherlands.
