Marcel Bogers and Daniel Lakens in Highly Cited Researchers ranking
IE&IS researchers Marcel Bogers and Daniel Lakens rank in Clarivate’s ‘Highly Cited Researchers’ ranking.
Each year the list “…identifies scientists and social scientists who have demonstrated significant influence through publication of multiple highly cited papers during the last decade.” (source ‘Clarivate Highly Cited Researchers’ website).
Marcel and Daniel are both happy to see their work is useful for other scientists. Marcel Bogers: “For me, it has always been important to try to create value for the broader research community, and to be able to see that it is possible to consistently create such an impact is just amazing.”
Daniel Lakens: “It is difficult to quantify the impact of scientific work, and citations far from a valid measure. I write accessible articles to improve research methods and statistics, which accumulate citations more easily than equally good or better work in other fields. It is of course still very motivating to see many colleagues make use of my work when doing theirs.”
