Elsevier: TU / e best university of technology in the Netherlands.
For engineering and technology studies, students in the Netherlands are best off in Eindhoven. This is evident from the Elsevier publication of Best Studies 2018. In addition, it appears that students in Eindhoven are particularly enthusiastic about their study at TU/e. They put their own university in second place of all Dutch universities.
Eindhoven University of Technology wins in the category of universities of technology. The best broad-based university is Utrecht University. Wageningen University has the highest score among specialist universities and also scores overall the highest of all universities in Best Studies 2018.
For Best Studies, Elsevier Weekblad and ResearchNed use the results of the extensive National Student Survey (NSE), conducted by Stichting Studiekeuze123. In addition, the reports on elsevierweekblad.nl contain information about the binding study advice, graduation success, switchers and dropouts, the student population and the costs of a second study program.
The ranking of colleges of higher education and universities is based on one crucial question from the National Student Survey: how satisfied are you with your study program in general? Students gave a score of 1 (very dissatisfied) to 5 (very satisfied). The balance of the number of programs that score significantly better or worse than the average of higher professional education or university education is divided by the number of programs assessed. This total score determines the position on the ranking list.
