VPN Connection

A VPN connection gives you access to IT resources that are not accessible outside the campus.

ICT Services that require a VPN connection when you are outside the campus:

  • Access to network drives (using SurfDrive or OneDrive)
  • Access to printers
  • Access to corporate systems
  • Access to databases of the library

ICT Services that do not need a VPN connection:

  • E-mail / TU mailbox
  • Intranet web pages
  • Lync / Skype for Business

Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client

ICT Services recommends using the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client for a VPN connection. This program is preinstalled on most campus computers.

Is this program not present on your computer? Then you can download it as follows:

Log in with your TU/e user code and password.

If you use the Internet Explorer, you get the request to install an ActiveX component and then the request to start the installation.

If you do not use Internet Explorer, you will get a download link to install the software yourself.
