The building has 'night rinse'. In the summer the room high windows slide outwards to cool the building and purify the air. The new glass facade with windows that open automatically and can be individually operated has triple glazing with an internal sun blind. At night the blind is lowered, enabling the thermal value of the facade to emulate even that of an insulated hollow wall.
This type of membrane facade allows the greatest possible retention of the existing (facade) structure, which is both sustainable and cost-saving, yet still more than meets the demands of energy consumption, daylight and appearance.
The sun blind can be adjusted according to user needs. The smart use of this adjustability results in a visually comfortable space that minimizes the need to use artificial light for a large part of the day.
