Active Bystander Training (online)

Monday October 4, 2021 to Monday October 11, 2021

At the request of the WISE Network, this training will (again) be offered by the Active Bystander Training Company during the Diversity Week 2021.

Bullying, intimidation, sexual harassment and other inappropriate behaviours all contribute to a toxic culture in the workplace; the impact this has on people can be hugely detrimental – with stress, anxiety and other mental health problems.

Do you want to start to do something about this?

Do you want to become more aware of the impact of certain types of behaviours?

Do you want to increase your defensibility?

Do you want to know how to react as a bystander?

If so, you are warmly invited to attend a 75 minutes Active Bystander training session on Monday 4th October or Monday 11th October that will empower each one of us as university staff/students across our community. We will learn how to challenge unacceptable behaviours that has been normalised and how to bring change by reinforcing messages where we (re)define the boundaries of unacceptable behaviours.

We hope that by learning and working together we can create a safe and supportive working environment within our community and urge each one of you to step up and attend this training.
