As part of the TU/e Research Day, which takes place on 8 June 2023, TU/e is organizing the inaugural edition of ‘Talking Science’ - a new science pitching competition for TU/e PhD and EngD researchers.
The aim of the competition is to offer a platform to PhD and EngD researchers to inspire and stimulate a large audience about their research, and to present this research in an understandable and engaging manner in the process. 11 participants will take part in the ‘pitching battle’, with the 1st prize winner going on to present their pitch at the Research Day ceremony later in the day on 8 June.
Jury winners: 1st prize € 750,=, 2nd prize € 500,=.
Public winner (picked by the audience in attendance): € 500,=
The participants only speak about their own research. The pitch lasts no longer than three minutes. The pitch is in English.
Program Talking Science Thursday 8 June 2023:
09.30 hrs. Welcome with coffee and tea for participants, jury and visitors in Reception Room 1 Auditorium (1st floor next to 'Congresbalie')
09.50 hrs. Lecture room 7 open
10.00 hrs. Start Talking Science pitch event in lecture room 7
