Frank's favorites: preliminary program

Frank Baaijens, our rector Magnificus, will be leaving us after 8 years of dedicated service. We are going to show him our gratitude by hosting a celebratory event called ‘Frank’s favorites’. This event will take place on the 11th of May from 13:30 to 15:00 in the Blauwe Zaal, Auditorium on the TU/e campus.

‘Frank Favorites’ will feature inspiring talks from guest speakers on themes that he cares most about: innovation Space (Isabelle Reymen), Irene Curie Fellowship, Eindhoven Young Academy (Sandra Loerakker), the research institutes (Jan van Hest), and Eindhoven Engine (Maarten Steinbuch).

Ceremony

Frank's favorites will be followed by the official ceremony at 16:00. During the ceremony, we officially bid farewell to Rector Magnificus Frank Baaijens and welcome the new Rector Magnificus Silvia Lenaerts.

Digital magazine Frankly Speaking

A digital magazine has been created in honor of Baaijens’ retirement as rector: Frankly Speaking. One last time, Frank Baaijens talks about his eight years as rector and gives a glimpse into his own future and that of the university which is so close to his heart.
