Famelab

TU/e will be participating in FameLab for the first time in 2019. This is an international science communication competition organized in 31 countries. A total of eight universities in the Netherlands will participate next year. The aim of the competition is to offer an international platform to young researchers (aged between 21 and 40) who can use it to inspire and stimulate a large audience. This exciting battle between young scientists leads to a grand finale during the Cheltenham Science Festival. FameLab is an initiative of the British Council and is supported by the KNAW and VSNU.

On 12 March 2019, the TU/e FameLab preliminary round will take place.
During the TU/e preliminary round, the participants will pitch their stories and the jury will choose two winners who will go on to the national final of FameLab in Tivoli Vredenburg on Thursday 9 May 2019. Winners of the national finals will advance to the international finals in June at the Cheltenham Science Festival. They will also receive a two-day master class at the KNAW, organized by the British Council.
