We are happy and proud to announce that the Center for Quantum Materials and Technology Eindhoven has been founded at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). The Center will be officially opened on Friday June 29, 2018 by Prof.dr.ir Frank Baaijens, Rector Magnificus of our university. We kindly ask you to reserve this date in your schedule.

Within the departments of Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, and Mathematics and Computer Science of TU/e, an active research community is working on quantum materials, quantum devices, quantum communication and information, and quantum simulation. These activities are deeply rooted in world-leading capabilities in nanotechnology and materials science, photonics, and data science, each having strong connections to the Brainport Ecosystem, adding expertise and a unique flavor to the Dutch quantum landscape.

During the day, we will not only show our activities, but want to invite you to show and discuss with us your contributions to this quantum landscape. We are really looking forward to a stimulating day and are always available to discuss common interests and ideas for collaboration!

On behalf of the Center,

Servaas Kokkelmans

Center for Quantum Materials and Technology Eindhoven

We are part of a worldwide race to control the quantum states of elementary particles, and to integrate them in technology platforms. This so-called second quantum revolution will enable exponential advances in many fields of research and technology.
