ICMS Annual Symposium 2023

Date
Thursday March 30, 2023 from 2:00 PM to Friday March 31, 2023 5:00 PM
Location
Ceres & Blauwe Zaal Auditorium

ICMS cordially invites you to our Annual Symposium that will be held on the 30 & 31 March 2023, at Eindhoven University of Technology. This year we celebrate our 15th anniversary. Throughout the years, scientists with different expertise, have jointly studied complex systems. In the early days of the Institute, complexity was mainly focused on molecular systems. Over the years the focus has shifted towards a broader understanding of complexity. As this movement fits with the spirit of the times in which we live, we intend to shape the future of complex systems even further to address academic and societal research challenges.

During the first day of the Annual Symposium our ICMS researchers will share their scientific endeavors on fundamental research themes, showcasing the ICMS in its full breath. The keynote speaker of the day, René Janssen, will share his extensive knowledge and experience in the field of solar cells. On the second day, we have an exciting program involving invited lecturers who will present their groundbreaking research on e.g. drug discovery, chemical synthesis and circularity in material science.

This event is the starting point of the next 15 years for ICMS, in which we will push the boundaries forward regarding complexity thinking and developing innovative solutions for materials science and engineering health.

We would like to welcome all colleagues and partners at the festive celebration of our 15th birthday.

Institute for Complex Molecular Systems

Molecules constitute the world around us—both natural and synthetic. Even we humans are teeming with molecules. Through understanding of complex molecular systems at the most fundamental level we are able to shape the future of materials, energy, mobility, health, and life itself. At TU/e, the Institute for Complex Molecular Systems (ICMS) performs research in this exciting field.
