Our mission

 

 

There is an urgent need for the world to transition towards renewable energy sources. Currently, the main focus is on harvesting energy from wind, sun, or water. 

However, there are significant quantities of small motions around, such as walking, pushing a button, or objects vibrating that are not taken advantage of. 

Team NANO proposes a solution in a form of a nanogenerator. It consists of two polymer plates that by being pushed together and then separated, produce small amounts of electricity. These nanogenerators could be used in a wide range of applications, for example, charging a smart-watch by going for a walk, powering sensors in industrial machines, or providing power to medical implants.
