However, there are significant quantities of small motions around, such as walking, pushing a button, or objects vibrating that are not taken advantage of.
Team NANO proposes a solution in a form of a nanogenerator. It consists of two polymer plates that by being pushed together and then separated, produce small amounts of electricity. These nanogenerators could be used in a wide range of applications, for example, charging a smart-watch by going for a walk, powering sensors in industrial machines, or providing power to medical implants.
