Innovating with Biomedical Engineering
The Department of Biomedical Engineering combines state-of-the art research with academic education. The department wants to contribute significantly to developing the discipline of biomedical engineering.
For many of the research projects there are close alliances with a number of national and international Academic Medical Centres. There are also alliances with companies such as DSM, Pharmacell, Shell and Philips.
On a national level the public private research collaboration and valorization is initialized in for instance programs of the Centre for Translational Molecular Medicine and the Biomedical Materials Program.
