Jurgen Schill (1989) received his Bachelor degree in Biomedical Engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) after working on Cucurbituril-mediated protein homotetramerization. In 2011, he started his master in Biomedical Engineering in the Chemical Biology group of Prof. Dr. Ir. L. Brunsveld. After working on genetically modified yeast (iGEM 2012, Dr. M. Merkx) and in vitro mapping of the interactome of TLR4-dependent immunity (Prof. K. Alexandrov and Dr. Y. Gambin, IMB, University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia), Jurgen received his Master degree in 2014 with his thesis on self-assembling auto-fluorescent amphiphiles and their dynamic supramolecular nano-sized architectures. During his PhD, Jurgen will continue working on self-assembling nanoparticles in order to create a versatile platform for multimodal and multi-targeted imaging purposes as well as to explore their potential in drug delivery (Prof. Dr. Ir. L. Brunsveld, Chemical Biology, TU/e).
