Incoming mobility students

General information
The information on this page is meant for inbound mobility students (exchange students, free movers and research students) that would like to apply at TU/e Department of the Built Environment.

Departmental information guide for inbound mobility students
Interested students should start by downloading the information guide for inbound mobility students. Should you have any questions that cannot be answered by this handout, you can contact our departmental international office.

Study semesters
The language of instruction of all education at TU/e is English.
For course information you can consult the information guide for inbound mobility students

Nominations
Students that would like to come to our department for a study semester, should be nominated by their home institution before the following deadlines:
for the autumn semester (A):                     1 April
for the spring semester (B):                        1 October

The nomination can be done by e-mail to exchange.be@tue.nl mentioning the student’s full name, gender, e-mail address, nationality, field of study, level of study, and the name of the semester (autumn or spring).

Applications
Students that have been nominated will be sent an e-mail which will allow them access to Mobility Online, our online tool in which all student mobility is arranged. It is no longer possible for us to proceed with hard copy applications.

Applications in Mobility Online are only possible:
for the autumn semester (A) till                1 May
for the spring semester (B) to;;                 1 November

Research internships and master thesis projects
Students that have been accepted by a member of our academic staff for a research internship or thesis project should send an e-mail to the international office (exchange.be@tue.nl) with their name, the name of the sending institution and the name of the TU/e supervisor. You will then be sent an e-mail with instructions on how to log into Mobilty Online. Applicants should meet TU/e’s criteria for incoming mobility students. This means that your acceptance is not final until your application in Mobility Online is approved by the departmental international office. For more information see the information guide for inbound mobility students.

How to apply

Students who want to apply for an exchange program at TU/e need to apply directly to the Erasmus and ECTS coordinator of the department where they want to study. This also applies to free movers.
