Meetings Health in the Built Environment
“On June 6th the Health in the Built Environmeent research meet on ‘Vitality in the workplace’ was held in Vertigo building at the TU/e campus. The topic Vitality in the workplace was discussed from the energy perspective to the user-performance perspective and the user-technology interaction and the influence of sound environment on vitality of open-plan study environments.
Interesting presentations on the topic were given by:
Thijs Meulen TU/e Energy coordinator and WKO Award 2018 winner, on ‘Vitality in the TU/e ATLAS building’;
Rianne Appel Assistant Professor in corporate real estate (CRE) and workplace at the TU/e Department of the Built Environment on ‘Workplace, technologies & health'
Pascale Leblanc Associate Professor at the TU/e Human Performance Management Group on ‘The relationship between the physical work environment and employee work performance’;
Ella Braat-Eggen PhD Building Acoustics at the TU/e Department of the Built Environment on ‘The influence of the sound environment on vitality in an open-plan study environment’.
The room was fully booked and an inspiring discussion with the participants followed.
