Kay Buist goes UK
Dr. ir. Kay Buist temporarily exchanges the Netherlands for the United Kingdom. On the recommendation of Prof. Jonathan Seville, Prof. David Parker and Dr. Kit Windows-Yule of University of Birmingham, Buist has been named one of the Spring 2019 Vanguard Fellows. Therefore he will be a guest at the English Institute of Advanced Studies (IAS) in Birmingham for a month.
Within the Positron Imaging Centre (PIC), Buist will, among other things, exchange and strengthen expertise for particle tracking in granular flow. This exchange contributes to the research at PIC as well as that of Assistant Professor Buist at TU/e within the Multiphase Reactors research group, and allows for intense collaboration between the two groups.
About the IAS Vanguard fellowships program
The program aims to attract outstanding early and mid-career researchers from global leading institutions, operating at the cutting edge of their disciplines, to work collaboratively with researchers at the University of Birmingham. Colleagues will focus on new and existing areas - topics that are timely, relevant, address national and international priorities, and cross disciplinary boundaries.
