Collaborative partnerships

In order to enable us to continuously improve our teaching, expand research and keep knowledge up to date, we work together with a variety of parties, ranging from counterpart universities to companies and research institutes.

Moscow University, the Polytecnico di Torino and the university of Stuttgart/SimTech.

We also offer a dual program in conjunction with Moscow University, the Polytecnico di Torino and the University of Stuttgart/SimTech. This consists of a study program lasting two years, in which students spend a year following a course of study in Moscow, Italy or Germany and one year studying at TU/e. Students who successfully complete the program receive a degree from both universities.

Eindhoven School of Education (ESoE)
The TU/e provides a Master's program to train as a tutor of preparatory higher education, (formerly known as grade one) in four subjects: Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics and Chemistry. This Master's program is run by the Eindhoven School of Education, ESoE, a collaboration institute of TU/e and Fontys University of Applied Sciences. The Master's allows the holder to carry the title MSc or drs.

Applied Mathematics Institute (AMI)
Using a start-up budget from the 4TUFederatie the professors of Mathematics of the three universities of technology in the Netherlands established the 4TU Applied Mathematics Institute (AMI), a Center of Excellence. The Mathematics departments of the three universities of technology are highly multi-disciplinary in nature and work in close collaboration with all technology departments. They enjoy a productive relationship with various large enterprises, TNO (Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research) and GTIs (or Large Institutions of Technology). They provide teaching services in mathematics for all students at the 3 universities of technology.

Centre for Dependable ICT Systems (CeDICT)
CeDICT is a 4TU Centre of Excellence in which the 4 universities of technology in the Netherlands pool their research in order to achieve high-quality synergy. Society is becoming increasingly dependent on IT systems. If a system fails, the consequences can be disastrous and one of the greatest challenges of research in the field of ICT is to improve the reliability of systems. For 4TU CeDICT, this challenge lies in the areas of hardware, software and communication.

Netherlands Institute for Research on ICT (NIRICT)
The Netherlands Institute for Research on ICT (NIRICT) is a Center of Competence. The NIRICT pools the research in ICT of the 4 universities of technology in the Netherlands. NIRICT draws together 70 research groups of the disciplines of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and various ICT application domains. More than 1200 researchers work together within NIRICT, making it the most significant academic research partner in the Netherlands.

Laboratory for Quality Software (LaQuSo)
The Laboratory for Quality Software LaQuSo, which forms part of our department, provides access to state-of-the-art methods, techniques and equipment for use in the analysis of software (technical quality, maintainability, reliability, security, for example) and in the support of innovations in which IT or ICT is used. With LaQuSo we work in collaboration with Radboud University Nijmegen.

Master Cyber Security
Together with the Radboud University Nijmegen, TU/e offers a two-year Master's program in Computer Security (as part of a Master's program in Computer Science).

Berlin-Rostock-Eindhoven Service Technology Program (B.E.S.T.)
In the Berlin-Rostock-Eindhoven Service Technology Program (B.E.S.T.) we collaborate with Humboldt-Universit├Ąt in Berlin and University of Rostock. The universities pool their resources in the area of Service Technology in order to enhance the effect upon research and its applications.

Philips Healthcare
In July 2008, we began a collaborative venture withPhilips Healthcare. The most important aim of this was to exchange knowledge and experience, but both organizations also support one another in specific knowledge areas. Philips Healthcare also provides attractive work placements for our students.
