Open access publishing in RSC journals

TU/e affiliated corresponding authors can publish their papers open access free of charge in all RSC journals, with the exception of Chemical Science, RSC Advances, Nanoscale Advances and Chemistry Education Research and Practice (CERP).

How to publish your article in open access free of charge

RSC will recognize TU/e corresponding authors in the online submission system based on their email-domain (@tue.nl and @student.tue.nl). This will result in gold open access publication fees being automatically waived. Follow the next steps to publish free gold open access:

  1. Check affiliation and corresponding author registration
  2. Select “gold open access publication”

3.  Choose open access license. The CC BY license allows others to copy, distribute, display, perform and create derivative works, even for commercial purposes, but only with proper credit to the creator. CC BY-NC license does not allow commercial reuse.
