To maintain a pleasant and calm study atmosphere and to keep the library clean and tidy, several house rules apply to our visitors

Avoid causing  disturbance to other visitors and respect the sound zones:

  • Silent zone (floors 0 and -1): conversations are not permitted, please be silent.
  • Quiet zone (floor 0): only short and soft conversations are permitted.
  • Group zone (study cabins floor 0): students may work together and communicate.

Not allowed in the library:

  • Eating. Food should be kept in your bag.
  • Audible use of mobile phones or Teams calls.
  • Claiming a spot without using it.
  • Blocking passageways with bags or coats.
  • Handing out flyers.
  • Photography or filming without prior consent by Library staff.

The library has several Study Cabins available for TU/e students:

  • Reservations are to be made via the Outlook Calendar or by the staff.
  • Check in and out for the study cabin at the Library Helpdesk.
  • Cancel your reservation if you decide not to make use of it.

Keep the Library tidy:

  • Return books and journals to their correct place after viewing them, if you do not know where they belong, please leave them at the Library Helpdesk.
  • Expenses for damage to Library property will be reclaimed.
  • Do not leave your belongings unattended. Lockers are available on floor 1.
  • The library does not take responsibility for damaged or lost property.
  • Study spots should be left tidy for other visitors.
  • There is camera surveillance in the Library.

Please follow directions from the Library staff at all times:

  • Library staff may ask for your identification and is authorized to check your bags.
  • Staff will request visitors who ignore the house rules to leave the Library.
