Artificial Intelligence

The study of intelligent agents: any device that perceives its environment and takes actions that maximize its chance of success at some goal.

Community Building

Artificial Intelligence is getting more and more attention, both in the scientific world as well as in business and society. There are many different definitions and scopes of AI. For simplicity we define AI research as: “Artificial Intelligence refers to systems that have the capability to analyze their environment and take decisions with some degree of autonomy to achieve specific goals.” Many TU/e researchers are active either in advancing AI or in the application of AI techniques in their specific domains.

Lunch Meeting on Artificial Intelligence

DSCE organizes, together with HTSC and Center H&T, Artificial Intelligence lunches. These meetings aim at scientific staff and PhD/PD interested in this topic. Goal is to raise awareness, create a community and spark cooperation.

Recently an ambitious student team started: FruitPunch AI. Their goal is to build a community that drives the implementation of Artificial Intelligence. They focus on AI education, taking students from theory to practice, and better connecting business, research and students. Among other things they organize an AI E-sports competition, an education track and AI Connect events. DSCE is proud sponsor or this team. For more information see
